Deadline reported that actress Danai Gurira (Black Panther, The Walking Dead) is in early talks with Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures to join the cast of the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong film.
Previously announced cast members for said project are: Van Marten (Avengers: Infinity War), Ziyi Zhang (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), and Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things).
The upcoming film is directed by Adam Wingard (Netflix's Death Note) who promisedthat there will be a clear winner in the fight between Godzilla and King Kong. Godzilla vs. Kong is currently set for a May 22, 2020 release and will serve as a culmination to Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' planned MonsterVerse franchise.
