It was confirmed that the upcoming final season of the Attack on Titan anime will premiere on December 7th 12:10am in Japan and is confirmed to have an overseas simulcast release.
In addition to the new premiere date, a new poster for the final season was also unveiled, which features the show's primary cast.
Attack on Titan: The Final Season will be animated by studio MAPPA (Dorohedoro, Yuri!! on Ice). The first three seasons of the series was animated by Wit Studio. The series will be directed by Yuichiro Hayashi (Kakegurui, Garo the Animation) with Hiroshi Seko (Mob Psycho 100, Vinland Saga) returning to oversee the scripts. The series will feature character designs by Tomohiro Kishi (Dorohedoro). Hiroyuki Sawano returns to compose the music, alongside Kohta Yamamoto (The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments).
The cast of the first three seasons will return to reprise their roles for the upcoming final season. Lastly, a compilation film titled Attack on Titan: Chronicle will have a limited theatrical run on July 17th and will summarize the events of the first three seasons.
