Isayama noted that he had been saying since eight years ago that he would end the series in three more years, and now he can finally end the series as promised. He also emphasized that the manga's length was not extended by the editors, but rather the question, "When will it end?" often came up during the final push. Lastly, he hopes that fans will keep enjoying the series till the end, and vowed to do his best until the finale.
Kodansha also teased that many projects are prepared for the manga's conclusion, and also noted that over 100 million copies of the series are in circulation worldwide. Currently, the anime adaptation of Attack on Titan's Final Season is still ongoing and is listed to have a total of 16 episodes and if there are no further breaks, it is likely that the anime will end by late March.
