The official website of the Mars ~But, I Love You~ film posted the first trailer of this sequel to the TV series.
Mars ~But, I Love You~ is about high school student Kira Aso who meets the playboy Rei Kashino. The get off to a bad start, when Kira, who is not used to men, speaks to bluntly. The new school term starts and the two meet again as classmates. Rei starts to get interested in Kira but things become complicated because of Rei's middle school classmate, Masao.
The film will star Kis-My-Ft2's Taisuke Fujigaya (Nobunaga Concerto), Masataka Kubota (Death Note TV series), and Marie Iitoyo (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger) as Rei Kashino, Masao Kirishima, and Kira Aso respectively, the same roles they played in the original TV series.
Also reprising their roles in the film are: Hirona Yamazaki (Prison School TV series) as Harumi Sugihara, Yu Inaba (Kamen Rider Drive) as Tatsuya Kida, Goki Maeda (Death Note TV series), Yuuka Suzuki (As the Gods Will) as Kaori Nishino, Kanako Tahara and Makoto Okunaka (Kamen Rider Wizard) as Ryoko Higashihama.
The director of the TV series Saiji Yakumo will direct the upcoming film with Tetsuya Oishi (Death Note: The Last Name) writing the film's script. Mars ~But, I Love You~ is set for a June 18 release.
