MBS announced that AKB48 member Yuki Kashiwagi will star in the live-action drama adaptation of Hyte Torishima's Kono Koi wa Tsumi nanoka!? (translates as Is This Love a Sin!?) manga.
The original manga follows Taiga Kohinata, a 24-year-old office worker with no experience with love, no communication skills, and has no purpose in life. While commuting to work one day, he accidentally meets 32-year-old Tae Komada and experiences love for the first time. They started out as friends, but Taiga later learns that Tae is a pro shogi player who lives in a very serious world.
Aside from Kashiwagi, Kentaro Ito (Good Morning Call, Sagrada Reset) will also star in the drama as Taiga Kohinata. In addition, Kashiwagi will also perform the show's opening theme song. Written by Yume Shiozuka and directed by Dan Ogawa, the series will premiere on MBS and TBS' Dramaism block this December. It will premiere on MBS on December 3 at 12:50am, and on TBS on December 5 at 1:28am.
