Deadline Hollywood reported that actress Margaret Qualley (Leftovers) joins the cast of Warner Bros.' live-action Death Note film.
The report didn't specifically state what is her role in the film, the only information we have about her role is that she's the film's female lead, which is likely to be Misa Amane. It was previously reported that actor Nat Wolff (Paper Towns) will play Light Yagami in the film.
The upcoming film is directed by Adam Wingard (The Guest, You're Next), written by Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four), and is produced by Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Jason Hoffs and Masi Oka. Production for the film will start in Spring 2016.
Take note, this film is not related to Warner Bros. Japan's upcoming 2016 Death Note film, which is based after the events of the earlier two live-action Death Note films.
