It was announced at a recent event that actor Masaki Suda (Kamen Rider W, Gintama) will star in the Shazam! film's Japanese dub.
The actor will dub the role of Shazam (played by Zachary Levi), the heroic alter ego to the teenage Billy Batson (played by Asher Angel). In addition, one of his long-time collaborators, director Yuichi Fukuda (Hero Yoshihiko, Gintama) in charge of the production and supervision of the film's Japanese dub.
The film based on the long-running DC Comics hero originally known as Captain Marvel, follows Billy Batson, a streetwise 14-year-old who can magically transform into the adult superhero Shazam simply by shouting out one word. His newfound powers soon get put to the test when he squares off against the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.
Shazam! is set for an April 19th release in Japan.
