Talent agency Aoni Production announced that voice actor Kozo Shioya has passed away. He was 71 years old.
Shioya passed away last January 20th due to cerebral hemorrhage. He is best known for his role as Majin Buu in the Dragon Ball franchise.
Aside from Dragon Ball, Shioya is also known for his roles in the GeGeGe no Kitaro series as Konaki-Jijii in the 4th series and Tantanbō in the 6th series. His other roles include: Genzo, Pappag & Edward Weevil in One Piece, Nozomi Takamiya & Kazushi Hadegawa in Slam Dunk, Bullhorn in Transformers: Super-God Masterforce, Motokichi Kinuta in World Trigger, Imagawa Yoshimoto in Sengoku Basara, and Bakuryu Parasarokkiru from Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger.
