Actors Issey Takahashi (Quartet) and Marie Iitoyo (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger) announced via their respective talent agencies that they recently got married.
The two are co-stars in the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan series, and its spin-off film, Rohan au Louvre in which Takahashi plays the titular character, Rohan Kishibe, while Iitoyo plays Rohan's manga editor, Kyoka Izumi.
In the announcement post, they stated that working together on the project brought them closer, and through working together on set, they felt a deepening connection. After a year of dating, and with the blessing of people involved in the project, they decided to announce this important milestone in their lives. The two will still continue on acting and they look forward to everyone's continued support.
Rumors of the two started dating surfaced in August 2022 when a photo of them leaving the same apartment building together was taken in July 2022. It is said that the two started dating after filming for the show's second season was completed, and it was said that Iitoyo moved to the same apartment building as Takahashi's. Even though the two have a 17-year age gap, according to Iitoyo's acquaintance, they are very comfortable relationship due to their similiarities, which includes their mutual love for cooking.
