The official Warner Bros. Japan Anime YouTube channel posted the first official trailer for the upcoming STEEL BALL RUN JoJo's Bizzare Adventure anime.
The series will star Shogo Sakata (Chainsaw Man) as Johnny Joestar, Yohei Azakami (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury) as Gyro Zeppeli, Kaito Ishikawa (Dandadan) as Diego Brando, Rie Takahashi (Oshi no Ko) as Lucy Steel, and Kenta Miyake (My Hero Academia) as Steven Steel. The trailer revealed that also joining the show's cast are: Masaaki Mizunaka (Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise) as Sand Man and Kenichiro Matsuda (Ghost in the Shell: Arise) as Pocoloco.
Taking place in a new universe, it's 1890, in America, the Steel Ball Run, the first horse racing championship across the North American continent, was about to begin. Spanning around 4,000 miles, the race offered 50 million dollars as the winning prize.
Johnny Joestar, once being hailed as a genius jockey, is now paralysed and lost in despair. He finds hope in the mysterious phenomena caused by Gyro Zeppeli, an outlaw aiming to win the race, and determines to participate in the Steel Ball Run Race. Each having their own goal in mind, the two form an alliance and set foot upon the grueling adventure and race.
The first episode of the series, labeled as "1st STAGE" will run for a total of 47 minutes and is set to premiere this March 19, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
