Netflix announced that the upcoming STEEL BALL RUN JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime will be premiering in said streaming service.
It is unknown if like newer anime that Netflix has the streaming rights of will be airing weekly or just like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, will be released in batches. More details will likely be revealed in the special Steel Ball Run global livestream on September 23rd.
Taking place in a brand new universe, Steel Ball Run is set in 1890 in the United Stares as we follow Johnny Joestar, a parplegic former jockey who desires to regain the use of his legs, and his eccentric mentor, Gyro Zeppeli. They compete in a cross-country horse race called "Steel Ball Run" and win the $50 million grand prize, but they find themselves targeted after they discover the hidden agenda of the race's sponsor.
