The official Kamen Rider Kuuga 25th anniversary website announced that the monster form of the Gurongi, La·Balva·De, also known as the Rose Tattooed Woman, will be unveiled in the upcoming Super Kuuga Exhibition event.
Played by Mie Nanamori in the series, we never got to see her monster form in the show's original run nor its spin-offs. The only time we got a glimpse of her monster form was when we saw her arm transform in episode 3.
As to why we never got a chance to see her full monster form until now, is that although many design proposals were illustrated by the show's monster designer, Tetsuya Aoki, the show's producer, Shigenori Takatera decided that it's very difficult to settle on a design. As one of the special projects for the Super Kuuga Exhibition, a statue of her monster design will be unveiled in said event 25 years later. Using the same methods in monster creation, the work is mainly carried by Aoki and Takatera after about a year of trial and error.
The Super Kuuga Exhibition will celebrate the hero and legend that kicked off this new era of Kamen Rider with series producer Shigenori Takatera serving as this exhibit's supervisor. The exhibit start in Tokyo in June, and will tour all over Japan, and will visit Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Osaka. There are also plans for an Asian leg of this exhibition in 2026.
