It was announced at this year's July issue of Nakayoshi magazine that a new Cardcaptor Sakura anime is currently in the works.
No other information about the new anime was revealed in the issue. More details about it will be announced in a later date.
2016 marks the 20th anniversary of the Cardcaptor Sakura series and to commemorate it, aside from the recently announced anime, a new manga series, which is a sequel to the previous one will start on Nakayoshi's July issue, the same issue the anime announcement was made.
