Bandai Namco posted the second official trailer as well as reveal the cast for the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM anime film.
The film will feature a brand new story that takes place two years after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY, in the year C.E. 75.
C.E. (Cosmic Era). An era in which there are human beings called Coordinators, born with superior physical and mental abilities thanks to genetic modification, and humans called Naturals who are born naturally. With their respective existence at stake, the ideological clash between Coordinators and Naturals escalated into war using armed force.
Along the way, the Destiny Plan was proposed, which would forcibly assign a role to each individual and create a world free of competition. But amid the fighting, this Destiny Plan was rejected in order to protect humanity's aspirations and future freedom.

In addition, the main cast from Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny will also reprise their respective roles in said film with some new cast members. The returning cast members are: Soichiro Hoshi as Kira Yamato, Rie Tanaka as Lacus Clyne, Akira Ishida as Athrun Zala, Kenichi Suzumura as Shiin Asuka, Maaya Sakamoto as Lunamaria Hawke, Fumiko Orikasa as Meyrin Hawke, Kotono Mitsuishi as Murrue Ramius, Takehito Koyasu as Mu La Flaga, Tomokazu Seki as Yzak Jule, Akira Sasanuma as Dearka Elsman, Michiko Neya as Hilda Haken, Taiten Kusunoki as Herbert von Reinhard, and Junichi Suwabe as Maas Symeon.
Joining the film's cast are: Nanako Mori (Kirakira Precure a la Mode) as Cagalli Yula Athha, who will replace Naomi Shindoh in said role; Houko Kuwashima (Martian Successor Nadesico) as Agnes Giebenrath, Ayane Sakura (My Hero Academia) as Toyah Mashima, Hochu Ohtsuka (Kamen Rider Den-O) as Alexei Konoe, and Jun Fukuyama (Code Geass) as Albert Heinlein.

The film will be once again animated by Sunrise, under their current name, Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. Staff members from the previous two Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series will return to work on the film sequel, most notably: director Mitsuo Fukuda, writers Chiaki Morosawa, Ryu Goto, Mitsuo Fukuda; character designer Hisashi Hirai, and music composer Toshihiko Sahashi.
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM is set to premiere this January 26, 2024 in Japan.
