Premium Bandai posted the official images and the promo video of the Wolzaphone - Memorial Edition from the Mahou Sentai Magiranger series.
The Wolzaphone is an item imbued with magical power of the rival warrior, Wolzard. The item recognizes over 30 spells that appeared in the series and activates with its corresponding sounds. Magic can be activated using the numeric keypad, and as seen in the series, magic can also be activated by pressing the wand deployment button.
Tsutomu Isobe, who voiced Wolzard in the series, recorded the system voice for the item, which includes the spells, allowing for a more authentic spell playing experience. Aside from the system itself, Isobe also recorded new lines as Wolzard, allowing for playback of memorable lines from the series.
The design and appearance of the item is based on the DX toy, but some parts have been updated to match the one seen in the series. It can transform into three modes: Mobile Mode, Phone Mode, and Wand Mode. In addition, the display parts have been changed from paper (like the DX version) to plastic (like the Magiphone - Memorial Edition). Lastly, the item can play two songs related to Wolzard as background music, thus enhancing the role play experience.
This Premium Bandai web exclusive item cost 16,500 yen, and is set for a September release. Pre-orders will end on May 31st.
