The commemorate the Lupin III franchise's 50th anniversary, a new Lupin III anime was announced.
Titled "Lupin the Third: Part 6", the series features Lupin back in his classic green jacket, which was first seen in the Part 1 anime, which later reappeared in any of the Lupin spin-offs or films that take place early in Lupin's career.
The series will be once again animated by TMS Entertainment, and will be directed by Eiji Suganama (Lupin III: Prison of the Past). The series will be written by Takahiro Ōkura (Lupin the Third: Part 5), with character designs by Hiroki Marufuji (Lupin III: Goodbye Partner), and music by long time Lupin III composer Yuji Ohno.
Lupin the Third: Part 6 is set to premiere this October.
