NHK announced that the live-action Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan series will air its overall 10th episode this May.
Titled "Kyoka Izumi Won't Stay Quiet", this new episode is an original, previously untold story about Rohan's editor and close acquaintance Kyoka Izumi. In this episode, Kyoka gets involved in mysterious circumstances after a word from Rohan.
Marie Iitoyo (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger) and Issey Takahashi (Whisper of the Heart) will both reprise their roles as Kyoka Izumi and Rohan Kishibe respectively.
Yutaro Seki and Kentaro Hirase of the directorial troupe Gogatsu wrote the story in collaboration with series creator Hirohiko Araki and also directed the episode. Naruyoshi Kikuchi (Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt) and Shin-On-Gak (Shin-On-Gaku Seisaku Kobo) will return to compose the music. Isao Tsuge (Shin Godzilla) returns as character designer, and NHK Enterprises and NHK PICS will produce this episode.
Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan "Kyoka Izumi Won't Stay Quiet" is set to premiere this May 4th on NHK General at 9:30pm JST.
