MBS posted two teaser trailers for the upcoming live-action My Dress-Up Darling series. Both teaser trailers feature the same footage, the only difference being the music used.
The first version used the show's opening theme, "Princess Hero" by Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu. The second version on the other hand, used the show's ending theme, "Lovely Baby" by PEDRO.
The series stars Iko Nagase (Child of Kamiari Month) as Marin Kitagawa and Kota Nomura (live-action My Girlfriend's Child) as Wakana Gojo. Also part of the show's cast are: Akana Ikeda (Tokyo Tower) as Sajuna Inui, Cocoro Toyoshima (Marry Me!) as Shinju Inui, Daichi Shiozaki (Dark Tales of Terror from Tokyo) as Chitose Amano, and Meikyo Yamada (Kamen Rider Build) as Kaoru Gojo.
Based on Shinichi Fukuda's manga of the same name, the series follows Wakana Gojo, who is a doll-artisan hopeful and spends most of his days alone, working on his dolls. This changed when his classmate, Marin Kitagawa comes into his life, who admires his doll and his work, and ask him to help her in her secret hobby: cosplay.
The series will be directed by Koji Shintoku (live-action Peach Girl) and will feature scripts written by Satoko Okazaki (Tiger & Bunny). Produced by Kyodo Television, the live-action My Dress-Up Darling is set to premiere on MBS' Dramaism programming block on October 9th at 12:59am JST.
