Junya Ikeda as Gai Ikari/Gokai Silver in his last live-action role prior to his arrest in "Twokaizer × Gokaiger ~June Bride is Tanuki Flavor~"
Actor Junya Ikeda, who is best known for his role as Gai Ikari/Gokai Silver in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger announced on his Twitter account a letter about his current status.
In the letter, he revealed that he has been found guilty of the special fraud case that he was involved a year ago, and is sentenced to jail for 3 years. He also stated that he has no relatives or family to rely on or help him. Because of this, he has no savings and he's homeless.

He stated that he's in a situation where he is fighting alone, but he never gave up because of the fans who are waiting for his return. In one final request, he is asking fans to send him a letter. He knows its a shameless request, but he needs the support to start again. He also confirmed that his acting career is now over, and wants to start again after his sentence is over. He wants the letters sent to where is he currently being detailed and addressed to his real name "Jun Shimogaito", in which he will be there for a month before he gets transferred to a prison somewhere.
He is also accepting prison visits until October 25th, but won't be available on the 17th and 23rd due to various circumstances. Visitation hours are only on weekdays from 9am-4:30pm JST excluding holidays, and only one group is allowed per day. If you want to visit him, it's best to declare your relationship with him as a "friend" or "acquaintance". He again apologized for the long and selfish request.
Lastly, he thought that his life is over now, and only saw darkness and despair, but he thinks he can look forward to life just a little bit. He asks to give him courage to take a step forward just a little bit more, and believes in our gentle and loving hand.
