The teaser trailer for the upcoming Gintama anime spin-off, 3-Z Ginpachi Sensei was revealed at this year's Jump Festa event.
The spin-off, which is written by Tomohito Osaki is set in Gintama High School and follows the school teacher Ginpachi Sakata, though he doesn't have the personality or appearance befitting for a teacher, and his students. Several shorts based on this previously aired at the end of several episodes of the Gintama anime series.
The cast from the original Gintama anime will all reprise their roles for the upcoming series. In addition, BN Pictures (Gintama) will animate this series with Natsumi Higashida (Tokyo Mew Mew Mew) serving as director. Makoto Moriwaki (Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun) will serve as the show's general director, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Smile) and Mitei Mark II writing the series. Shinji Takeuchi (Gintama) will serve as chief animation director, and Audio Highs (Gintama) will compose the music.
3-Z Ginpachi Sensei is set to premiere this October 2025 on TV Tokyo.
