It was announced by talent agency 81 Produce that voice actress Noriko Ohara has passed away. She was 88 years old.
She passed away last July 12th after an unsuccessful treatment for an illness. Her family held a private funeral.
Ohara was born in October 2, 1935 in Tokyo, and is best known for her role as Nobita in the Doraemon anime from 1979-2005. Aside from Nobita, she also played Future Boy Conan's Conan, Yatterman's Doronjo, Heidi - A Girl of the Alps' Peter, Macross' Claudia LaSalle, and Voltes V's Hiyoshi Go and Ri Katherine.
