It was reported that voice actor Nobuo Tanaka passed away last October 17th due to esophageal cancer. He was 83.
Tanaka is best known to most tokusatsu fans as the narrator of multiple Super Sentai Series, most notably the first 14 episodes of Himitsu Sentai Goranger. He later narrated Dengeki Sentai Changeman, Kousoku Sentai Turboranger, and Chouriki Sentai Ohranger. He even played some notable characters in the franchise as well, most notably Instructor Ritchihiker from Gekisou Sentai Carranger, Mister Voice from GoGo Sentai Boukenger, and as himself in an episode of Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger.

Outside of Super Sentai, he is also best known as Gatchaman's Sosai X, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure OVA's DIO, One Piece's Captain Jonathan, Detective Conan's Shintaro Chiaki, The Adventures of the Little Prince's Frank, Anime Sanjushi's Cardinal Richelieu, Detonator Orgun's I-Zack, and Karate Master's Ken Asuka. He also narrated a lot of anime, some of his notable work include: Ideon, Otaku no Seizai, Lupin III: Secret Files, and Cromartie High School.
Lastly, he also dubbed Sgt. Saunders in the American Combat! TV series as well as the dubbed voice of Barney Collier in the Mission: Impossible TV series. He also narrated TV Tokyo's TV Champion program and also multiple news programs. From all of us here, thank you for the memories.
