Ultraman Rising CG Film's Official Trailer, Japanese Cast Details Revealed

Netflix and Tsuburaya has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming Ultraman Rising CG animated film. The trailer features music composed by Diplo.

More cast members for the film's Japanese dub was also revealed. As previously reported, Yuki Yamada (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger) will voice Ken Sato/Ultraman in the dub. Joining him are: 

• Fumiyo Kohinata (The Confidence Man JP) as Professor Sato, Ken's father
• Akari Hayami (Cheerfu11y, Shin Ultraman) as Ami Wakita, a journalist
• Fumihiko Tachiki (Kamen Rider W) as Dr. Onda of the Kaiju Defense Force (KDF)
• Ayumi Tsunematsu (Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War) as Mina, Ken's supercomputer​
  

In addition, Ultraman veterans are also part of the cast, which includes Hiroko Sakurai (Ultraman's Akiko Fuji) as Ami's mother, and Takaya Aoyagi (Ultraman Orb's Jugglus Juggler) as Captain Aoshima, who is Dr. Onda's right-hand man. ​

The film follows Baseball superstar Ken Sato returns to his country of Japan to pick up the mantle of Earth-defending superhero Ultraman, but quickly finds more than he bargained for when he's forced to raise the offspring of his greatest foe, a newborn Kaiju. Struggling to balance the roles of teammate and new father, Ken must confront his own ego, his estranged father, and the conniving Kaiju Defense Force to rise up and discover what it truly means to be Ultraman.

​The film is produced by Tom Knott (The Iron Giant) and co-produced by Lisa Poole (Lilo & Stitch, Over the Moon). This new Ultraman CG film is written and directed by Shannon Tindle (Kubo and the Two Strings) and Marc Haimes (Kubo and the Two Strings) as co-writer. John Aoshima (DuckTales 2017) will also serve as the film's co-director. 

Ultraman Rising is set to premiere this June 14th, exclusively on Netflix.
