Tsuburaya posted official English dub trailer and revealed additional dub cast members for the upcoming Ultraman Blazar TV series.
As previously reported, Johnny Yong Bosch (Bleach) will voice the role of Gento Hiruma/Ultraman Blazar. Also joining the English dub's cast are: Madeline Dorroh (Pokémon Masters) as Emi Aobe, Ricco Fajardo (Absolute Duo) as Yasunobu Bando, Madeleine Morris (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) as Anri Minami, Nicholas Andrew Louie (Marvel Avengers Academy) as Teruaki Nagura, and Keith Silverstein (Hunter × Hunter 2011) as Retsu Haruno. In addition, Madeline Morris will also serve as the show's ADR Script Adaptor.
The Global Guardian Force (GGF) was established by nations all around the world in the year 1966 in response to the worldwide outbreak of kaiju disasters. Today, Earth sees continues destruction of nature and rapid rise in global warming. One night, the space crustacean kaiju Bazanga appears. GGF's cleanup operation is unsuccessful, and the special forces led by Gento Hiruma find themselves in a desperate situation. This is when a mysterious giant emerges from light. This unidentified humanoid alien has been rumored among astronauts for decades, code named "Ultraman".
Gento is later summoned to the command center in which he is officially appointed as the captain of the Special Kaiju Reaction Detachment or SKaRD and is ordered to investigate the Ultraman from the Battle of Bazanga to determine whether it is a threat that needs to be eliminated or not. He then has a flashback of a faraway galaxy, a shred of memory of a blazar. Thus, Captain Gento, who is shrouded by Ultraman Blazar's light, with the unique members of the newly organized SKaRD, throws themselves into battles against kaiju with dauntless courage and an unwavering sense of justice!
Written and directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi (Ultraman Orb, Ultraman Z) and co-written by Keigo Koyanagi (Ultraman Z), Ultraman Blazar is set to premiere on July 8th on TV Tokyo and its affiliates.
