To commemorate the 45th anniversary of Ultraman 80, Tsuburaya announced that the series will get an HD remaster, which will be available on a Blu-ray box set!
Until now, only the first episode of the series was remastered in HD, this set will include all 50 episodes of the series for the first time in HD. In addition, four episodes that are particularly impressive acoustically, have been selected and newly remasted in 5.1ch surround sound.
Bonus features include interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the 30th anniversary DVD Memorial Box. In addition, the special interview collection of the cast and staff of Ultraman 80, which was broadcasted on the "Ultra Information Bureau". Other video bonuses are also planned.
Lastly, the limited edition version of the Blu-ray set will include the monster design materials handwritten on Tsuburaya Productions' stationery and other materials by the Tsuburaya Productions Planning Department at the time of broadcast.
