Toei Video announced the Toei Tokusatsu Blu-ray Project, in which Toei ask tokusatsu fans on what Toei Tokusatsu you wish receive an HD remaster!
This project will select one or more Toei Tokusatsu that hasn't been released on Blu-ray as voted by fans to receive a Blu-ray release. The chosen title/s will get a brand new remaster from Toei and will receive a limited edition Blu-ray release, which is exclusively available at the Toei Video Online Shop.
The nominated works for this project are: Giant Robo, Henshin Ninja Arashi, Kikaider 01, Akumaizer 3, Space Ironmen Kyodain, Kaiketsu Zubat, Nebula Mask Machineman, Dimensional Warrior Spielban, Magical Chinese Girl Paipai!, and Choukou Senshi Changerion*.
To select the titles you wish receive an HD remaster and a Blu-ray release, fans need to visit the official Toei Tokusatsu Blu-ray Project website and first fill up the Google Form to submit your preferred titles first. The application period is from June 6th at 12:00nn JST to July 1st at 11:59pm JST. The top five titles will then be revealed on July 3rd at 12:00nn JST and a special voting page will launch at the same time. The winning title/s will be announced on July 11th at 12:00nn JST and pre-orders for it will be available exclusively at the Toei Video Online Shop.
