The official Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- anime website posted the latest teaser trailer for the 2nd film in the series, Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Scherzo of a Dark Dusk.
It was also announced that Eir Aoi will perform the film's theme song, "Shinzo" (Heart), which is written by Yorushika's n-buna. The single is set for a September 7th release. In addition, joining the film's cast are: Kaede Hondo (Ya Boy Kongming!) as Liten, and Yusuke Kobayashi (Dr. Stone) as Morte.
Sword Art Online -Progressive- is the retelling of the original Sword Art Online story, but it will retell the story, floor-by-floor.
The staff from the first film will return to work on the second film, as it will be directed by Ayako Kawano (The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky) and it will be once again animated by A-1 Pictures. The film will also feature character designs by Kento Toya (Sword Art Online: Alicization), action direction by Yasuyuki Kai, and Yuki Kajiura returns to compose to the film's music.
