The official Super Mario Movie Twitter account revealed that Fox McCloud from the Star Fox game series will appear in the upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
Details such as the character's voice actor and if the rest of his team will appear in the film are yet to be announced.
The sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, the film primary uses elements from the Super Mario Galaxy games, as well as from Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario World. In the upcoming film, Mario and his brother, Luigi, join Princess Peach and Toad on an adventure to the far reaches and across the galaxy where they face off against Bowser's son, Bowser Jr.
The cast from the previous film, namely: Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), and Keegan-Michael Key (Toad) will all reprise their respective roles. Joining the cast are Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) as Princess Rosalina and Benny Safdie (Oppenheimer) as Bowser Jr.
The staff from the previous film, most notably, directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, screenwriter Matthew Fogel, and music composer Brian Tyler all return to work on the sequel. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set for an April 1st release in the US.
