Premium Bandai posted the official images and the promo video of the Shodophone - Memorial Edition from the Samurai Sentai Shinkenger series.
This item is the transformation device used by the head of the Shiba clan and his four loyal samurai retainers to transform into the Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. Released to commemorate the show's 15th anniversary, this Shodophone is an upgraded version based on the original DX toy and features new parts and coloring to make it closer in appearance to the one seen in the series.
That said, one of the major differences between the DX toy and the Memorial Edition is that it now uses a rechargeable battery and it has a USB-C port at the back like modern phones, which means, there's no need to replace the battery. Another upgrade include the LED now uses a high brightness LED module, which has significantly increased the amount of light compared to the DX version.
A first in the history of Super Sentai transformation items, this item is equipped with a vibration motor, thus allowing transformation play that goes beyond the DX version! Thanks to this motor and the writing button, you can now properly recreate how the Shinkengers write the characters in the air and text inversion effects seen in the series. The writing button only plays the writing sound while it is pressed. In addition, when the button is pressed, the motor vibrates, thus allowing the user to experience the same feeling as when actually writing characters through the vibrations transmitted by hand.
After a short wait time after writing, the character writing button will switch to its character inversion function, in which you can enjoy the character inversion effect with sound and vibration. Furthermore, thanks to the detection switch inside, when the Shodophone is opened, the same sounds heard in the series will be heard as well. Other sounds include three BGM songs, which includes the TV size version of the show's opening theme, as well as several other sound effects from the series, thus allowing for highly immersive role playing.

- Summoning Mode - you can recreate the "Origami Big Transformation" scene by writing the "大" character. In addition to the cries of each Origami, new sounds have been added for when holding the brush and when summoning the Origami.
- Combination Mode - by writing the "合" character, the sound of the Origami combining to form the Samurai Combination Shinkenoh.
- Mojikara Mode - you can enjoy the "Mojikara Activation" effect by writing freely. Some of the sounds from the series when Mojikara is activated are included.
- Daidan'en Mode - by freely writing characters, you can enjoy playing with Samurai Haoh's special move, "Mojikara Daidan'en". The impressive wooden clapper sound is also included.
- Sealing Mode - by writing freely, you can activate the power of sealing. The motor vibrates along with the sound of writing with a flaming brush, thus allowing you to enjoy the sealing scene from the series.
