The official Ultraman YouTube channel posted the full VFX breakdown video for the Shin Ultraman film.
The full VFX breakdown video is a compilation of all previously released VFX breakdown videos in the film's official Twitter account. This includes Hideaki Anno and original Ultraman suit actor Bin Furuya wearing mocap suits to perform Ultraman's various actions in the film. Since this is a VFX breakdown, you will see some notable fights from the film, which includes: Ultraman vs. Alien Zarab and Ultraman vs. Alien Mefilas.
A big screen adaptation of the original 1966 Ultraman series, the film will be written and produced by famed director Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion) with Shin Godzilla collaborator Shinji Higuchi (Gamera Trilogy) directing the said project. The film also features music by Shiro Sagisu (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Bleach). Distributed by Toho, the film part of the Ultraman franchise's 55th anniversary celebrations, Shin Ultraman premiered last May 13th in Japan, and debuted at #1 at the Japanese box office, and stayed on top of it for two weeks straight.
