Sakamoto Days Anime's Additional Cast Members, Netflix Streaming Revealed

The official Sakamoto Days anime website and social media accounts revealed additional cast members for the upcoming series.

Joining the show's cast are:

• Nobunaga Shimazaki (Baki, Fruits Basket) as Shin Asakura, a psychic and Sakamoto's subordinate
  
• Ayane Sakura (My Hero Academia) as Lu Shaotang, a former mafia member and a Tai Chi master
  
• Nao Toyama (Nisekoi) as Aoi Sakamoto, Sakamoto's wife
  
• Hina Kino (Buddy Daddies, The Devil is a Part-Timer!!) as Hana Sakamoto, Aoi and Taro's only daughter
  
• Ryota Suzuki (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) as Heisuke Mashimo, a talented irregular sniper
  
• Miyari Nemoto (Alice Gear Aegis Expansion) as Piisuke, Heisuke's bird partner

The series follows Taro Sakamoto, who was the ultimate assassin, feared by villains and admired by hitmen, but one day, he fell love! He retired, got married, became a father, and then... Sakamoto gained weight! this chubby man who runs the neighborhood store is actually a former legendary hitman! Can he protect his family from danger?!

The series will be animated by TMS Entertainment (Lupin III, Detective Conan) and will be directed by Masaki Watanabe (KADO - The Right Answer). It will feature scripts overseen by Taku Kishimoto (BLUELOCK, Haikyu!!), and character designs by Yo Moriyama (Lupin the IIIrd: Goemon's Blood Spray).

​​Sakamoto Days is set for a January 2025 release, and will be streaming worldwide via Netflix.
