The main trailer and new details for Oshi no Ko's upcoming second season was revealed. The trailer features the season's new opening theme, "Fatale" by GEMN.
Also joining the cast are: Ayane Sakura (My Hero Academia) as Abiko Samejima, the creator of the Tokyo Blade manga, which will be adapted into a 2.5D stage play; and Daisuke Ono (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) as GOA, the scriptwriter for the Tokyo Blade stage play.
The show's upcoming second season will adapt the manga's "2.5D Stage Play" arc in which are main cast are involved in the 2.5D stage play adaptation of the famous manga, "Tokyo Blade". Aqua's investigation about his father continues as he finds out that one of the cast members is a member of his father's old theater troupe, Lalalai Troupe.
The series stars Takeo Otsuka (Beastars) and Yurie Igoma as Aqua and Ruby Hoshino respectively, Megumi Han (Hunter x Hunter) as Kana Arima, and Manaka Iwami (Fruits Basket 2019) as Akane Kurokawa.
The series is directed by Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project) and Chao Nekotomi (Love is Like a Cocktail), and is animated by Doga Kobo (Sing "Yesterday" for Me). The series is written by Jin Tanaka (The Misfit of Demon King Academy), and character designs by Kanna Hirayama (Rent-A-Girlfriend). Oshi no Ko Season 2 is set to premiere this July 3rd at 11pm JST on Tokyo MX and over 29 other channels in Japan.
