Takara Tomy announced that they will produce a new Transformers anime titled Transformers: Wild King.
This new Transformers anime is a 6-minute web series, which will be streaming on the official Takara Tomy YouTube channel and will have a total of 14 episodes. This is the first new Transformers series primarily produced in Japan for a decade since Q Transformers: Kaettekita Convoy no Nazo in 2015.
Taking place in a new world called Elementos, a world containing transforming animals and dinosaurs called "Energy Beasts". In the series, Optimus Prime follows his friend Megatron to this planet. Optimus is helped by Lightlong, one of the planet's natives, who explains that Energy Beasts have an affinity for one oft he five element energies, namely: fire, water, earth, nature, and lightning. When Megatron turns on Optimus, Optimus and Lightlong combine to unleash the power of the Wild King.
Transformers: Wild King is set to premiere this March 26th on the official Takara Tomy YouTube channel.
