The official Japanese Godzilla YouTube channel posted the new 5-minute Godzilla vs. Hedorah short that premiered at this year's Godzilla Fes
Released as part of this year's Godzilla Fes and also to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original Godzilla vs. Hedorah film, the film features the King of Monsters, Godzilla fight Hedorah, the Smog Monster in an industrial area. Who will end in the end?! The short was filmed for three days in late September and used the Godzilla and Hedorah suits from Godzilla: Final Wars, a film that first aired 17 years ago.
The short is directed by Kazuhiro Nakagawa (Ultraman Z, Godzilla vs. Evangelion: The Real 4-D), and this will be the director's second project for the Godzilla Fes events as he previously directed last year's Godzilla Appears at Godzilla Fes. Lastly, painter Akiko Nakayama will work on the short's opening and closing videos.

This is not the only Hedorah related thing that was unveiled at the event as Bandai also unveiled the S.H. MonsterArts Hedorah from the original 1971 Godzilla vs. Hedorah film. This is also part to commemorate the monster's 50th anniversary. More details about this new figure will be revealed in a later date.
