TV Asahi's official 24 Japan website and Twitter account revealed more cast members to the Japanese adaptation of the popular American drama 24. The casting confirmed that multiple actors that appeared in various tokusatsu shows will appear in the series.
These actors are:
- Hiroaki Murakami (Kamen Rider 1979's Hiroshi Tsukuba/Skyrider) as Heisuke Satonaka, CTU's (Counter Terrorist Unit) Tokyo General Manager
- Yuma Ishigaki (Metal Hero's Geki Jumonji/Space Sheriff Gavan Type G) as Toru Mikami, CTU's Third Branch Investigator
- Shiro Sano (Kamen Rider Heisei Generations' Dr. Pac-Man, Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger's Valma) as Genji Onitsuka, CTU Tokyo HQ's 1st Branch Manager
- Atsuhiro Inukai (Sento Kiryu/Kamen Rider Build) as Go Samejima, a beautiful but selfish man who is Miyu's best friend
- Miki Yanagi (Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger's Sela/Zyuoh Shark) as Suzu Hakozaki, a free spirited girl, she is one of Miyu's friends
- Yu Kamio (Kamen Rider OOO's Dr. Maki, Ultraman X's Shotaro Kamiki) as Yogo Hakozaki, who will help with the search of a missing daughter that went out at night
- Yasuyuki Maekawa (Kamen Rider Build's Souichi Isurugi/Evolto, Ultraman Orb: The Origin Saga's Shinra) as Tsunehiko Minagawa, an international photographer
Based on 24's 1st season, the series follows Jack Bauer's Japanese equivalent, Genba Shido (played by 20th Century Boys' Toshiaki Karasawa) is the director of Team A in the Counter Terrorist Unit and is good at his job. A reasonable person, he often has to make drastic decisions to save lives. He is currently separated from his wife due to martial problems and they have a daughter.
Meanwhile, Urara Asakura (played by Gokusen's Yukie Nakama) is the leader of the Minsei Party. Having the strong support from the people, it is expected that she'll become Japan's first female prime minister. On the day of the election for the Prime Minister office, an assassination plot for her life is revealed. Genba must stop this attempt, but his daughter is also kidnapped at the same time.
