It was reported last July 2nd that former actor and MegaBeast Investigator Juspion star Hikaru Kurosaki has passed away. He was 62 years old.
His passing was revealed by one of Kurosaki's colleagues at the Motobu Diving Association in Okinawa Prefecture.
Born on January 31, 1962 as Seiki Kurosaki, and inspired by his admiration for Sonny Chiba, he joined the Japan Action Club (JAC) in 1978 in which he played a Ninder combatant in Toei's Spider-Man series. He made his acting debut in 1980 in the TV drama series, Shogun's Samurai. He made his leading role debut in Kabamaru the Ninja in 1983, but what rose him to international popularity was playing the lead role of Juspion in MegaBeast Investigator Juspion in 1985.
He married actress Yuko Asuka in 1984, whom he had been dating after since meeting her in Choudenshi Bioman in which she played Farrah. He retired from acting in 1995 and after running a bar in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, the couple established and managed a diving shop called Mother Earth in Motobu, Okinawa Prefecture in 1998. His wife passed away in December 2011, and has been living with his four beloved dogs since then.
