35 years since its first release, Mariya Takeuchi's viral hit, "Plastic Love" gets its own music video as Warner Music Japan posted a short version of said video on YouTube!
The song was included in her 1984 album "VARIETY", which reached #1 in the Oricon album charts. In recent years, the song received a new leash of life thanks to YouTube as a fan upload of the song featuring a photo of the artist from her "Sweetest Music/Morning Glory" single getting recommended to fans worldwide.
The new music video is directed by Kyotaro Hayashi, who interpreted the song based on the era the song was a product of. The new music video is part to promote the release of her new 3-disc, 62-track compilation album titled "Turntable", which commemorates the artist's 40th anniversary of her career.
