Takashi had a career that spanned for over three decades, and she is best known as the creator of Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Ranman 1/2, One-Pound Gospel, Inuyasha, and RIN-NE. Her works were adapted into anime, movies, and other various forms of media and have inspired a generation of fans and other comic book creators who cited her work as one of their influences.
Lastly, Takahashi is the fifth Japanese creator induced in said Hall of Fame. Past Japanese inductees include: Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy, Black Jack), Kazuo Koike (Golgo 13, Lone Wolf and Cub), Goseki Kojima (Lone Wolf and Cub), and Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira). From all of us here, congratulations!
