Bandai Tamashii Nations posted the official images of the Chogokin Mach 5 from the Mach GoGoGo/Speed Racer anime series.
The world's most famous supercar with seven secret features is now part of Bandai's Chogokin line! The item is 1/18 in scale compared to the actual Mach 5, and is 270mm in length and also comes with fully painted and poseable figures of the show's main character, Go Mifune/Speed Racer and his girlfriend, Michi Shimura/Trixie seated.
The item also comes with a special display base that features the show's title logo and even have the Mach 5 be displayed as if it is jumping. You can also display it in a dedicated display case made of hard plastic is also included as an option. Finally, the seven secret features that can be recreated are:
This item cost 55,500 yen, and is set for a September release.
- A (AUTO JACK) - the four "auto jacks" extend from the bottom of the vehicle. Using the display base, you can recreate Mach 5's jumping scene.
- B (BELT TIRE) - all four wheels can be replaced with "belt tires" for driving on rough terrain and rough roads.
- C (CUTTER) - the cutter device built is built into the bottom of the vehicle is completely stored inside the vehicle by folding the shaft without compromising Mach 5's beautiful form.
- D (DEFENCER) - a clear defensive shield called the "defencer" can be attached to the vehicle's body with a built-in magnet and covers the cockpit. It's both bulletproof and waterproof.
