The official live-action Yowamushi Pedal drama website has unveiled the cast of the upcoming series. The cast is composed of actors coming from the stage play adaptations alongside new actors.
The series, which is based on Wataru Watanabe's manga of the same name follows Sakamichi Onoda, an otaku who loves anime and games so much that he would ride his bike to and from tokyo's Akihabara district in a 90-kilometer round trip over steep slopes after school. His life changed when he encounters his school's cycling team, and ends up joining it. Anyway, the cast of the upcoming series are:
The upcoming drama series will be directed by Takayoshi Tanazawa (Shitamachi Rocket) with scripts written by Kouta Fukihara (Hibi Rock). The live-action Yowamushi Pedal drama series is set for an August premiere on BS SKY PerfecTV! this August, but before that, a special behind-the-scenes program will air on the channel on July 29th.
