Oricon reported that the 18th episode of Uchu Sentai Kyuranger will tie-in to the upcoming Space Squad: Space Sheriff Gavan vs. Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger film.
Both Yuma Ishigaki and Ryuji Sainei are confirmed to reprise their roles as Geki Jumonji/Gavan Type-G and Banban "Ban" Akaza/DekaRed respectively. In addition, Mika Kikuchi also confirmed via Twitter that she and Yosuke Itou will also reprise their roles as Koume "Umeko" Kodou/DekaPink and Senichi "Sen-chan" Enari/DekaGreen respectively.
In this episode, Madakko has stolen the Pyxis Kyutama and arrived at a different part through a blackhole. The Kyurangers follow her, and encountered Geki and Ban, who are unaware of the situation and arrest the heroes for illegal space travel charges. We will also see the two commanders, Shou Ronpo and Doggy Kruger with the latter meeting Garu/Ookami Blue!
Ishigaki commented about this crossover, "Both our series take place in space, which originated this collaboration. I think it will distinguish itself from other joint projects. It is not only an episode of Kyuranger but a prequel of sorts for Space Squad. Look forward to this new crossover."
Finally, Ryuji Sainei comments, "While I am aware some viewers don't know Dekaranger, I intend to make the most of it and show off as much as possible. (laughs). Don't miss it!" The episode is set to premiere on June 11th.
