As previously reported, the series will be directed by Yousuke Kabashima (Accel World) with Ayataka Tanemura (Black Clover) serving as assistant director. Kabashima will also serve as Dopant animator alongside Masahiro Yamane (The Brave Express Might Gaine). In addition, Tatsuto Higuchi (Revue Starlight) will write the show's scripts with Kamen Rider W head writer and Fuuto PI writer Riku Sanjo serving as script supervisor. Kotaro Nakagawa and Shuhei Naruse, who both worked in a lot of Kamen Rider soundtracks, including Kamen Rider W will return to work on the music of Fuuto PI. The series will be animated by Studio KAI (Uma Musume Pretty Derby Season 2).
A direct sequel to the Kamen Rider W TV series, the series follows Shotaro Hidari and Philip, the two-in-one Kamen Rider known as Kamen Rider W, along with the rest of the gang and a mysterious beauty named Tokime as they confront new and bizarre events happening in the windy city of Fuuto.
Fuuto PI is set for an August release and will premiere on U-NEXT. The series will also broadcast on TOKYO MX as well. This series is part of the Kamen Rider franchise's 50th anniversary celebrations.
