A stage play adaptation based on Iku Sakaguchi's Dark Hunter manga series was announced.
The stage play will star Ryusei Yokohama (Ressha Sentai ToQGer) as treasure hunter Kyosuke Garyu and Mahiro Takasugi (Kamen Rider Gaim) as the main protagonist Takeshi Hazama.
Also part of the cast are: Katsuhiro Suzuki (Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters) as Shou Saegusa, Atsushi Arai (Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie Wars Mega Max) as Chikara Jinnai, Atsushi Maruyama (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger) as Seima Miyuki, Seiya Inagaki (Prince of Tennis Musicals), Ayaka Morita, Hidekazu Ichinose (Ultraman Cosmos, Reborn!), and Seijiro Nakamura (Resident Evil the Stage).

The original manga focuses on Takeshi Hazama (Takasugi), a high school student who aims to be a manga creator, but the truth is he is "Dark Hunter", an assassin who works in behalf of victims and the bereaved to slay evil. His constant rival/occasional rival is treasure hunter Kyosuke Garyu (Yokohama), who just happens to be also a Dark Hunter.
The upcoming stage play adaptation is directed by Kenta Fukasaku (Battle Royale) and is written by Tetsuya Suzuki (Curry Life). The play is set to premiere in Tokyo's Galaxy Theatre on May 13. The play is also planned to run in Kitakyushu and Osaka.
