- Rio Uchida (Kamen Rider Drive) will play the role of Mayaya, an enthusiastic woman who is a The Romance of the Three Kingdoms otaku.
- Rena Matsui (Majisuka Gakuen) as Banba, a train otaku.
- Haruka Kinami (Hero Yoshihiko) as Jiji, a woman who loves mature, older men.
- Eriko Tomiyama (U-31) as Chieko, a woman who has a fondness traditional Japanese items.
Previously announced cast members include: Koji Seto (Kamen Rider Kiva) as Kuranosuke Koibuchi, Asuka Kudo (Lesson of the Evil) as Shu Koibuchi, and Kyoko Yoshine (The Anthem of the Heart) as series protagonist Tsukimi Kurashita.
Based on Akiko Higashimura's manga of the same name, the series follows Tsukimi, a girl who loved jellyfish from a young age and is living in Amamizukan, a fangirl-only dorm. One evening at the local pet store, she sees a lovely jellyfish in danger, but a beautiful woman comes to rescue. They returned to the dorm together, only to find out that his "woman" is actually a man!
The upcoming drama series is directed by Junichi Ishikawa (Date, Mei-chan no Shitsuji) with scripts written by Yuichi Tokunaga (HOPE) and is set to premiere this January 2018 on Fuji TV and will air on Mondays at 9pm.
