It was announced that JPop group AAA will go on hiatus on December 31, 2019. This announcement was made a day after the group's leader, Naoya Urata announced that he would be leaving the group.
The group came up with this decision after discussing their group activities, solo activities, and personal lives since 2016. All members of the group are now in their 30s, so they also discussed their futures, both professional and personal. After said talks, they decided to stop all of their group activities and go their own ways at the end of 2020, their 15th anniversary.
Before the group will go on hiatus, they will release a new best album, "AAA 15th Anniversary All Time Best -thanx AAA lot-". The album is set for a February 19th release and will contain 57 songs. Lastly, the group will have a five dome tour in November and December called "AAA DOME TOUR 2020".
For Kamen Rider fans, they are best known as the group that performed Kamen Rider Den-O's opening theme, "Climax Jump". A few years later, one of its members, Shuta Sueyoshi performed the song "Over 'Quartzer'", the opening theme of Kamen Rider Zi-O alongside DA PUMP's ISSA.
