Warner Bros. Japan Anime's official YouTube channel posted four new trailers for the upcoming JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean anime as well as announced the anime's premiere date on Netflix and on Japanese TV.
These four trailers are called: Jolyne Cujoh, Stand, Father & Daughter, and The Aquarium. That said, the series will make its global debut this December 1st on Netflix with the first 12 episodes of the series available on said platform. The series will then make its Japanese TV premiere on January 8, 2022 on TOKYO MX at 12:30am JST, MBS at 2:55am JST, and on BS11 at 12:30am JST.
Taking place in the year 2011, Stone Ocean follows Jolyne Cujoh as she was framed for muder and was sent to prison. While in prison, she ends up facing various Stand users, and one of them is DIO's former follower. The final battle between the Joestar family vs. DIO finally begins!
Aside from Ai Fairouz (How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?) who will play Jolyne Cujoh in the series, joining her are: Mutsumi Tamura (Digimon Adventure tri.) as Ermes Costello, Mariya Ise (Hunter x Hunter 2011) as Foo Fighters, Atsumi Tanezaki (Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai) as Emporio Alnino, Yuichiro Umehara (Goblin Slayer) as Weather Report, and Daisuke Namikawa (Fate/Zero, Engine Sentai Go-Onger) as Narciso Anasui. Daisuke Ono also returns to reprise his role as Jotaro Kujo.
David Production returns to animate the series with Kenichi Suzuki from Parts 1-3 returning as the chief director, and Part 4's Toshiyuki Kato as the director. Yasuko Kobayashi will once again handle series composition, Masanori Shino (Black Lagoon) as character designer, Part 5's Shun'ichi Ishimoto as Stand designer, Yoshikazu Iwanami also returns as sound director, and Parts 3-5's Yugo Kanno returns to compose the show's music.
