Former AKB48 member Tomomi Itano (Majisuka Gakuen, Kamen Rider W) recently announced that she got married to professional baseball player Keiji Takahashi.
​The couple were introduced to each other by a mutual friend in spring 2019 and has been dating for roughly a year and a half before deciding to get married. The couple visited both of their families last December to share the news. Takahashi also told AKB48 creator Yasushi Akimoto the news as well, who also served as their witness to the marriage.
Itano isn't pregnant as of this writing and plans to continue her entertainment activities while supporting her husband. The two already moved in together and plans to hold a wedding reception, but it is still pending due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
