Warner Bros. Japan Anime has unveiled the official teaser trailer and the main cast for the upcoming Fist of the North Star anime reboot.
The series will star Shunsuke Takeuchi (Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, Ultra Galaxy Fight) as Kenshiro, Daiki Yamashita (My Hero Academia) as Bat, and M.A.O. (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger) as Rin. This isn't the first time M.A.O. voiced Rin in the franchise as she previously played the character in the DD Fist of the North Star anime.
Based on the manga of the same name by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara, the series takes place in a post-apocalyptic world and follows a man named Kenshiro, who is the master and successor to a deadly martial art as he wanders the nuclear wasteland protecting the weak and innocent from violent thugs. In his travels, he fights other master martial artists and figures from his past, and this includes his "brother" Raoh, who has crowned himself the king of the new world.
