Production company Robot Co., Ltd. (Alice in Borderland) has opened an extra recruitment page for Godzilla Minus One director Takashi Yamazaki's next film, which is tentatively titled "Masterpiece Monster Movie".
To those not keeping track, Yamazaki's next project is a new Godzilla movie produced by Toho Co., Ltd., which is listed as the producer in the extra recruitment page, hinting that this is the said Godzilla film. Yamazaki will once again direct, write, and serve as the VFX director for said Godzilla film, which is said to be a sequel to Godzilla Minus One.
The recruitment page also state that the film will feature an "all-star cast representing Japan". That said, one of the keywords listed in the recruitment page's code are the names of actors Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe, who played Koichi and Noriko in Godzilla Minus One, thus accidentally confirming that they might be involved in the film. As of this writing, website's code no longer has their names as keywords.
In the recruitment page, they are looking for men and women extras, ages 18-70 who will play the roles of townspeople, people fleeing, etc. in said scenes. Said extras will wear historically appropriate attire, this includes having natural, undyed hair and not wearing your own glasses. The shooting will be held somewhere in Tsukubamirai City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Shooting dates will happen in August 30-31, September 1st, and September 3rd, with backup dates on September 2nd and September 4th. Deadline for the application will be on August 15th.
