Premium Bandai has unveiled the PROPLICA Nichirin Sword (Shinobu Kocho) from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series.
This highly detailed 1/1 scale replica item is based on the Nichirin Sword that the Hashira, Shinobu Kocho uses in the series. The sword is 880mm in length and comes with its own dedicated pedestal for display, and its sheath. By pursuing a structure that can maintain its strength and shape, they were able to achieve the thinnest blade shape of any previous PROPLICA Nichirin Sword. The distinctive tsuba is painted in beautiful metallic blue and has a delicate design, thus recreating the one seen in the series. The sheath on the other hand, has a matte texture, a 3D shape, and is painted gold.
This item has two modes, namely: "Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho Mode" and "Infinity Castle Battle Mode". The item can play lines related to Shinobu Kocho that are heard from the anime and in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle film, but that's not all, once the item is set in Infinity Castle Battle Mode, it can also play lines coming from Shinobu's older sister, Kanae Kocho!
The item can also activate "Insect Breathing" and a whole bunch of sound effects such as sword sounds are also included. Lastly, it also features a sword sheathing/unsheathing detection gimmick that detects when the sword is sheathed or unsheathed, as well as a vibration gimmick, which is a first in the series.
